Lessons in Lutherie

I began the Brisbane Guitar Making School in 2015, and in the subsequent 10 years I guided many first-time guitar builders through making their first guitar.  Most of those first-time builders stayed with me to make at least two, if not several, guitars.  In addition to guitars of all varieties, my students made ukuleles, mandolins and a range of other stringed instruments.

While the guitar making school is no longer functioning as such, my fully equipped guitar-making workshop now hosts the SEQ Luthiers group, who attend weekly sessions to share their passion for stringed instrument making in a convivial atmosphere.  Most have made at least one or two instruments, but all are on the learning curve.  In conjunction with these sessions, I am guiding a limited number of first-time builders.  So, if you have dreamed about making your own guitar, contact me to discuss the possibilities.
